It was an absolutely wonderful evening, really enjoyed by everyone. Jackie was brilliant and we were all swept away in the rhythms - all 15 of us.

A small but perfectly formed group of singers met down in the riverside car park and enjoyed a gentle stroll down to the hermitage and back via the castle bank, before heading for Warkworth House Hotel, and a welcome drink. We then went through into the dining room for an excellent meal and a friendly chat that kept us there 'til about 9.20pm.
The rain stayed away until we were eating in the restaurant.

Is it me or is it a long time (29th June) since Harbour Lights met up with The Golden Square Singers, Dunbar Sings and Capital Voices for a fun day of singing, all in aid of the RNLI which is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year. We all spent the morning and half the afternoon learning three songs which we sang all together in the afternoon concert following on from the three choirs each singing three of their own songs.
For those who missed out, here's a couple of mp3s from the day. Contact me on stocksp62@gmail.com if you would like a cd of the full event (31 minutes, approx.) - all for a suggested donation of £5 to the RNLI. I hope to have some with me for anyone going on the Warkworth walk and meal this Thursday (alternatively the Amble walk on August 29th, or when we start back on our Autumn term on 5th September). We raised more than £2,000 on the day!
