The first Thursday of the summer programme of events was a visit to Amble Bowling Club, kindly arranged by Norma and Carol Nelson (a county player) of the Bowling Club. Members all had a go, with varying degrees of success. A good time was had by all, with tea and biscuits provided to round off our evening. Thanks to all the Bowling Club members who were on hand to help offer advice and encouragement.
