Hi all

I'm wondering if any members of Amble Harbour Lights Community Choir might like to be part of what promises to be a stunning concert at Sage Gateshead, which will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 on Saturday 22nd July? We’re looking for North East singers aged 18 and over to perform an exciting selection of classical and contemporary choral music alongside two existing Sage Gateshead choirs – Voices of the Rivers Edge (VOTRE) and Chorus of Royal Northern Sinfonia. I'm expecting we will have upwards of 200 singers for this event, but the most special aspect is that the choirs will be singing a cappella - it's going to be a celebration and exploration of the range and power of the human voice, and of a wide range of music that's been written for it both old and new. All levels of experience are welcome, whether singers have previous practice in choirs or none at all, and whether they read music or not. Do you think any Amble HLCC members might be interested in being involved? Just get them to follow this link to the website for full details: Sage Gateshead Choral Concert 23 There's a short online form for singers to let us know they're interested in taking part - applications close next Wednesday 12 April at 9am. Let me know if there's anything else you'd like to know - it would be so great to welcome some of your singers to this project! All the best, Tim -- Tim Burke (he/him) Music Director, Tête à Tête Co-Founder, Tyne Coast Arts Collective Chorus Director, Chorus of Royal Northern Sinfonia Choir Director, St Gabriel's Heaton
